When our child was hospitalized due to illness, Lucy genuinely worried about the baby and helped us. She takes excellent care of the baby, and the baby loves her. My experience with STAR Confinement was excellent from day 1. My baby arrived two weeks early, and the nanny I had originally booked was unable to come earlier. STAR quickly arranged a replacement on the day my son was born and provided two Gold Tier profiles for us to choose from. We selected Lisa (ST206), who was able to start immediately. Lisa was hardworking, extremely clean and hygienic, and wonderful with our son. She was great at soothing him and keeping him entertained, and teaching us many things we lacked as first-time parents. One of the sweetest things was how she would make up funny songs and little dances for him, which always made us laugh! She was also an excellent cook. Every meal was delicious, and she even taught my helper some of her recipes so we could continue making them after she left. What stood out most was her ever-jovial personality and energy that never seemed to run out. Despite the language barrier, we got along very well. The thing I appreciated the most was that she respected my preferences, never pushed confinement practices or dietary restrictions that I was uncomfortable with, and simply worked with what we had at home. We mutually wanted to extend her stay, but unfortunately she was already committed to another family. By the end of the month, we were genuinely sad to part ways. This is our second time engaging Star Confinement for their nanny services. While their agency scheduling has a lot of room for improvement, Aunty Melinda(ST 184) more than made up for it. She is a gold-tier nanny, which requires an additional fee, but I can say with absolute confidence that she is worth every dollar. Aunty Melinda is excellent at both infant care and cooking, but most importantly, she cooks and cares with genuine heart. The quality of care, dedication, and professionalism she provided exceeded our expectations. We are already looking forward to inviting Nanny Yin back to help care for our child when I return to work. Nanny Jessie Yong Chin Moi (ST358) took excellent care of my newborn. She always ensured that my baby girl was fed just right and burped thoroughly, keeping her tummy comfortable. As a result, she rarely spat up and was able to sleep well. Nanny Jessie also kept my baby clean and bathed her gently, making bath time an enjoyable experience. She spoke to and handled my daughter with great patience and gentleness, which I really liked. Furthermore, she maintained a clean and tidy environment for my baby every day. Not only did Nanny Jessie take wonderful care of my daughter, but she also took great care of me. She prepared nutritious meals to ensure that I ate well while recovering from my C-section. She paid close attention to my dietary preferences and allergies, ensuring that I had a balanced and healthy diet throughout my confinement period. Under her care, I have been able to return close to my pre-pregnancy weight, which I am very happy about. In addition, she interacted warmly with my toddler, who thoroughly enjoyed watching her care for his baby sister. He loved observing tasks such as feeding and nappy changing, and Nanny Jessie even kindly taught him how to feed his sister with a bottle. It was lovely to see him become involved in caring for his new sibling. We would have loved to extend Nanny Jessie's stay with our family because she has been such a tremendous help and a joy to have in our home. Unfortunately, we were unable to do so because another family had booked her well in advance. She is that good! My confinement nanny (Elaine ST149) has been great. She is responsible, experienced, and genuinely dedicated to caring for newborns. What I appreciate most is that she understands both modern childcare practices and traditional confinement customs. This is especially helpful when you're caught between medical advice and family expectations regarding confinement practices. She respects traditional pantang and customs, but is not blindly rigid about them when there is no clear medical reason behind a practice. She has a good balance of experience, practicality, and common sense. She also knows her role well and is very respectful of parental choices. She gives her opinions and guidance at the right time, without being pushy, while still allowing us to make our own decisions. She is excellent at reading a baby's cues and understanding their needs. Most importantly, she is a highly experienced nanny who takes her responsibilities seriously. She is meticulous in caring for the newborn, extremely organised, capable, and efficient. Despite multitasking throughout the day, she remains calm, attentive, and effective in everything she does. Overall, she has made a huge difference during this postpartum period, and her support has given us a lot of confidence and peace of mind as new parents. Side note Her cooking been great as well esp her pig trotters :)
